Soldier’s banquet during the visit of General Kazimierz Sosnkowski (Commander-in-Chief of Polish Army). Fourth from left at table:Zofia Krzyżanowska (nee Zofia Wiśniewska; later Zofia Drzewieniecki), Director, Polish YMCA in Palestine and Egypt attached to the Polish Army, fourth from left at table. At head of table: Mr. Kunicki, Director of the Polish YMCA in Palestine and Egypt after Z. Krzyzanowska. Barbara, Palestine, August, 1943. (This Gaza village was later destroyed by the Israelis and its inhabitants – Palestinians - were turned into refugees.)
