Teaching Mathematical Concepts Birth -Grade 2
Abstract
Focuses on methods, principles and strategies for teaching math in early childhood settings. Examines mathematical concepts infused in young children’s experiences, the use of mathematical tools in young children’s learning, methods for adapting math curriculum for learners with diverse abilities, and the relationship of mathematical learning to all areas of the curriculum. Analyzes assessments that encompass both understanding and procedural skills. Offered each semester.
