Assessment Techniques in Bilingual General and Special Education

Abstract

This course covers assessment methodologies for English language learners/Multilingual learners (ELLs/MLLs) with and without disabilities. Teacher candidates will design and implement an assessment plan for an English language learner/multilingual student with a disability that addresses cultural and linguistic considerations in classification and instructional planning. Topics covered in this course include models, issues, basic terminology, test administration, scoring procedures, score interpretation, and test construction.
