Start Date
25-10-2012 11:00 AM
Description
Sexual abuse of children is a serious problem with estimates of 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 7 boys having been sexually abused. These sexually abused children become adults and the majority of them become parents. Research suggests that a fifth of sexually abused children showed long term serious psychopathology as adults. This work presents a modality for the child welfare workers to use as a preliminary assessment to enable early identification and subsequent mitigation of negative behaviors that affects the abused parent or their parenting.
