Abstract

The creation of an organized, rehearsal-driven, communication-focused paradigm for fashion show production is presented in this master's project. The purpose of the project was to address recurrent issues in fashion production settings, such as poor rehearsal preparation, unclear role expectations, and misunderstandings between designers, models, and production teams. The project, which was based on systems thinking, creative leadership, and Creative Problem Solving (CPS), aimed to restructure the production process to enhance teamwork, clarity, and overall performance.

The project's main outcome is a comprehensive Production Model Handbook that may be used in independent, college, and growing fashion show settings. A multi-phase rehearsal framework, well-defined team roles, an integrated production execution strategy, and an organized communication system are the four main elements of the model. These elements were created through the use of both academic and industry-informed methods, reflective analysis, and divergent and convergent thinking.

Key learnings from the project highlight the importance of structure in supporting creative environments, demonstrating that effective systems can enhance rather than limit creativity. The project also highlights the importance of leadership in creating procedures that foster teamwork and cut down on inefficiencies. This concept will be used in live production environments and expanded to other creative industries in the future.
