Description
Samuel Wakshull was born June 9, 1922. He received his B.S. in Social Studies in 1951 and his M.A. in Mental Retardation in 1952 from New York University. Mr. Wakshull taught developmentally disabled children from 1952-1962 in both Peoria, IL public schools and Stamford, CT public schools. He came to the State University College at Buffalo in 1963. Samuel Wakshull taught in the Exceptional Education Department. From 1975 to 1981 he was the second president of the United University Professions. He retired September 1, 1991.
