    Description

    Colonel Stanisław Sztarejko (in 1939, Commander, 84th Polesie Rifle Regiment [84 Pułk Strzelców Poleskich]) and Captain Włodzimierz Drzewieniecki. Porto St. Georgio, Italy, 1945. Sztarejko came to Italy after spending years in German captivity. When he arrived at Polish II Corps Headquarters, he was identified was confirmed by Drzewieniecki, who had served under him in the 84th. Sztarejko was given the command of a regiment.
