Description
Jan Birnbaum (later Jan Drzewieniecki), brother of Włodzimierz (Walter) Drzewieniecki, in Lwow, Poland, with his first fiancée, Janina Pobrzoska. 1934. Signed to his mother. Jan Drzewieniecki was a professional military officer. After the September 1939 campaign in WWII, he joined the Polish Home Army (Armia Krajowa) and died in the Warsaw Uprising in 1944.
