Decades ago, the historic Colored Musicians Club was graced by the presence of musical greats the colored likes of Dizzy Gillespie, John Coltrane and Miles Davis. Going further back still, the Club carried a musical bravado unmatched by most other American cities. As Buffalo lay at the midpoint between Chicago and New York City, talented jazz artists would take the stage nearly every night. Today, that reputation remains strongly intact as the Club is one of the last of its kind in the US. -Drew Brown, Visit Buffalo Niagara
