Abstract
Prerequisites: SOC100. Overview of the major statistical concepts necessary for sociological research and analysis of social data. Introduction to statistical software and methods to analyze social data. Topics include database construction, database management, descriptive statistics, probability, inferential statistics, statistical association, and data presentation. Required for sociology majors.
