Abstract

Prerequisites: CNS614; co-requisite with CNS 617 Explores the practical and scientific principles behind preventive conservation. Topics include: environmental monitoring and control, artificial ageing, materials testings, museum pollutants, risk assessment, emergency planning, preservation strategies, pest management, and mitigation of biological degradation. Offered annually in the spring.
