Geology of the Seven Summits

Abstract

Prerequisites: None. A themed-based introductory geology course based on the highest mountain on each continent known as the Seven Summits. These mountains represent a range of geological processes and all show the impact of climate change. Readings, maps and spectacular satellite images are used to understand the geology of the Seven Summits. Offered every Fall semester.
