Technology and Conservation of Objects II
Abstract
Prerequisites: CNS 640, CNS641 Co-requisite: CNS 643 Explores the deterioration and practical conservation of various categories of materials, and the objects made from them. Topics include historical methods of repair, currently accepted methods of conservation treatment, and the ethical and cultural awareness guiding treatment. This is the lecture portion of the object conservation treatment course reviewing treatment theory and practice, illustrated by case studies. Offered annually in spring.
