Abstract

Focuses on the biochemical basis and treatment of obesity and diabetes. Addresses required competencies for the graduate dietetics student. Explores techniques for measuring body composition and energy expenditure including indirect calorimetry. Includes selected content required for the interdisciplinary obesity and weight management and certified diabetes educator credentials including medication management. Emphasizes primary literature Employs competency-based education (CBE).
