Abstract

Components and functioning of the human memory system and its neural basis in the brain. Theory and model-based examination of memory formation, storage, organization, retrieval success and failure. Exploration of memory errors, the role of emotion, amnesias, dementias, and mnemonics. Includes laboratory exercises and final project.
