Cancer Biology
Abstract
Exploration of the fundamental concepts and mechanisms in cancer biology. Topics include the nature of cancer, tumor viruses, oncogenes, growth factors, signal transduction, tumor suppressor genes, cell cycle control, apoptosis, multistep tumorigenesis, and genomic integrity. This course will also cover the basic principles of cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
