Abstract
Survey of organic chemistry. Structural isomerism, acid-base and mode of hybridization of carbon in organic compounds. Saturated, unsaturated and aromatic hydrocarbons, IUPAC nomenclature, R/S rule, E/Z isomers and Fisher projection. Nucleophiles, electrophiles, nucleophilic substitution and elimination reaction. Reactivity and selectivity of organic compounds having different carbon oxidation state. Not open to chemistry or forensic chemistry majors.
