Introduction To Translation
Abstract
Taught in Spanish and English. An introduction to Translation Studies (TS) through an overview of the major translation theories. Students explore the role of the translator as a mediator and the importance of cultural awareness. Case studies allow students to consider concepts, strategies, and skills necessary to produce a professional translation.
