Period Styles for the Theater
Abstract
Survey of period style from ancient Egypt to the present. Students identify and analyze recurring visual themes in architecture, decor and fashion from various viewpoints and evaluate historical roots and contemporary evolution. Through period style identification students examine and evaluate translations to the stage or screen. Offered annually.
