Abstract

Main currents of European intellectual and cultural life from 1914-2001. Topics include psychoanalysis; intellectual and cultural responses to World War I, the Russian Revolution and the rise of fascism; Critical Theory, existentialism, feminism and postmodernism; decolonization and the protest movements of the 1960s; the Cold War and the collapse of the Soviet communism; globalization, immigration and the new multicultural Europe.
