Description
Dr. Zimmer’s educational background is extensive- bachelor’s degree from SUNY Geneseo; master’s degree and doctoral study at Stanford University; and doctoral study and doctoral candidate at Indiana University. Professor Zimmer served his country for three years with twenty-two months of combat duty in the E.T.O during WWII. Professor Zimmer taught at various levels of education- elementary, secondary, and college. Before coming to the State University College at Buffalo he taught at New York University. Professor Zimmer was Associate Professor of Education at the Campus School. In 1969, he received the Distinguished Professor Award. He retired in the spring of 1981. He passed away on July 8, 2005.
