Description
Jazz Weda Cook was born November 6, 1920 in Louisiana. Before coming to Buffalo she worked at Huey Long Hospital in Louisiana. Around the end of WWII, Jazz Weda planned to live in California, but came to Buffalo when a friend became ill. Jazz Weda Cook held a few jobs in Buffalo; she worked for an attorney on the north side, in the nursery at Sisters Hospital, and Greyhound Food Service (for 28 years until 1980). At the time of the interview, she was a student at the State University College at Buffalo. She passed away in January 1986.
