Description

Houston Robison earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees at the University of Oregon and his Ph.D. in History at the University of Chicago. Prior to coming to Buffalo in 1949, Dr. Robison taught in the public schools in the state of Oregon for thirteen years as a teacher, principal, and curriculum coordinator. During his time at the State University College at Buffalo, Dr. Robison served as Professor of History for thirteen years, Director of the Arts and Sciences faculty, Dean of Instruction, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and the college’s acting President for ten months following the departure of Paul Bulger. In 1969, he received the President’s Distinguished Service Award.
