Abstract
Addressing three problems with respect to the reproductive effort of rainbow smelt, Osmerus mordax (mitchell), this study determines whether or not there is a significant inter-population difference in the gonadosomatic index or reproductive effort between smelt in lakes Erie and Ontario.
