Description
Memorial in Driel, Holland, erected by the Dutch government to honor the 1st Independent Polish Parachute Brigade. Some 400 members of the Brigade died in the ill-conceived British “Operation Market-Garden” (Battle of Arnhem) in 1944. The movie “A Bridge Too Far” describes this battle.
