Software Training by Video for STARS HSLC

Start Date

31-10-2013 11:00 AM

Description

The Center for Development of Human Services is in the process of launching a new version of their training registration software, Statewide Training Automated Registration System (STARS). I served as the technical writer to produce the scripts for the first phase in a series of technical support videos to provide training for New York State Agency Staff Development Coordinators as they transition to this new version of STARS known as STARS Human Services Learning Center (STARS HSLC). Staff development coordinators can now use these videos to learn how to use the enhanced features of STARS HSLC for the tasks they previously carried out using STARS. The overarching goal of these tasks continues to be to register N.Y.S. employees for various training programs funded by the N.Y.S. Office for Children and Family Services (OCFS) and the N.Y.S. Office of Temporary Disability Assistance (OTDA) as well as to maintain records and produce reports pertaining to these programs.
