Continuation of CHE 201. Reactions and mechanisms of organic functional groups, such as alcohols, ethers, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids, acid derivatives, and aromatic compounds. Identifications of organic compounds using spectroscopic methods (UV, IR, NMR, and MS). Organic reaction mechanisms to predict reaction outcomes. Syntheses of organic molecules.
