Published Caption/Article Associated with the Photograph:

"Heading South at 2:30 P.M."; "The storm by early afternoon began to retreat to the south once more and by 2:30 p.m. was centered directly over Buffalo. At that time figures on Main St. were mere silhouettes in the driving snow." -published 02/08/1977; "Other folks ran away to Miami, but Western New Yorkers are made of stronger stuff -- and we kind of enjoy it when the wind blows and the snow falls. A winter storm, 1977" -published 01/26/1980.

The Buffalo Blizzards and Storms Collection comprises two folders of photographs taken by the entitled: “Blizzard of ‘77” and “Storms of ‘58.”
